1. All Japan Kyokushin
Union.
a. The two basic main faculties of the All Japan Kyokushin
Union are the Tournament Institute and the Technical Dan
Promotion Institute.
b. By all means the applicant must cooperate and take part
in the activities related to the Tournament Institute.
c. Regarding the activities of the Technical Dan Promotion
Institute, the applicant has the option to take part or not.
However it is desirable the applicant takes part in
both.
d. Even being affiliated with a group of Kyokushin, one can
affiliate with the Kyokushin Union.
2. Basically appropriate persons
to apply.
The persons who wish to
affiliate comprehend the basic ideology of the Kyokushin
Union, moreover the persons who have inherited the Kyokushin
Karate techniques and spirit (Sosai Masutatsu Oyama's
philosophy) and who intend to pass this knowledge on, have a
possibility to join. Besides keep in mind that Kyokushin is
to be rebuilt in a spirit of harmony.
3. Concrete notes for
applicants.
a. Basically the persons
having a descent from All Kyokushin who wish to affiliate,
are subject to unite.
b. The Branch Chiefs and sub-Branch Chiefs who were under
Sosai Masutatsu Oyama and those dojo that were established
only at a later instant are basically another category.
c. There will be a deliberation held after a recommendation
from three Shihans in order to become a recognized
Shihan.
d. When affiliating as a dojo unit, the rights for that area
(country / Prefecture, etc.) is not approved of.
e. At the time several dojo are gathered in the same area,
they have to form a Union of that area.
f. If there is a group of only one dojo in a certain area,
it will not be approved of as a Union.
4. Admission deliberation.
In order to be admitted,
the following will be deliberated on.
a. All the particulars necessary for the admission.

b. Reason for affiliating with the Kyokushin Union.

c. Application form.
d. Technical test (Kihon, Kata, Kumite, Yakusoku kumite) by
the Technical Dan Promotion Institute. (For the persons who
cannot directly participate in this technical test, the test
put on video will be examined.)
e. How training is conducted in the dojo will be examined on
video tape.
5. Basis of recognition.
a. The persons who were
Branch Chief under Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, and who are having
a recommendation by three Recognized Shihans can be exempt
from the Technical Test.
b. The persons who were sub-Branch Chiefs under Sosai
Masutsu Oyama, and the persons who became dojo operators
after that time, a decision will be taken based upon the
"Admission Deliberation".
c. The persons who became dojo operators after Sosai
Masutatsu Oyama passed away , and belonged to a group have
to take part in the Technical Test, or can send in a video
tape with the test. They have to mention to which group they
belonged, which Branch Chief under Sosai Masutatsu Oyama was
the head of that group.
d. The Kyokushin dojo that were existing under Sosai
Masutatsu Oyama will be recognized as Kyokushin dojo. Those
dojo that were already in the former days Kyokushin in
descent, but who wish to affiliate, can be united if they
participate in the Technical Test for the Kyokushin Dan
Promotion Institute in Japan.
6. Admission accepted or
not.
a. Admission accepted.
(Admission conditions fulfilled.)
b. Admission postponed. (Admission conditions not
sufficiently fulfilled, after guiding possibility of being
accepted. So even in these cases correspondence will be
continued.)
c. Admission rejected. (Admission conditions too reduced to
be accepted.)
* Above mentioned are the 3 possible outcomes. Basically
when admission is not accepted a policy of providing
education is applied.
7. Granting Certificate of
Approval.
The persons who fulfill the
requirements of recognition will be granted a Certificate of
Approval from the All Japan Kyokushin Union, so that those
concerned can establish a recognized Kyokushin dojo.
8. Loss of licence of
affiliation with the Kyokushin Union.
If an affiliated person
comes under one of the following cases, a decision with a
majority of over 2/3 of the Members of the Board of the All
Japan Kyokushin Union can decide to withdraw the licence of
the person concerned.
a. If a person brought disgrace on the name of Kyokushin
Karate.
b. If a person acts against the goals of the Kyokushin
Union, or causes a disturbance in the organization.
c. If a person doesn't contact the Kyokushin Union for two
years, meaning there is a complete impossibility to
contact.
